I went to Spring Practice in April 2000 and I couldn't believe I was able to just stand amoungst all the players and coaches. I was in the middle of the field with Kenny King and Kindall Morehead during drills. I even went up to Mike Dubose right after practice (on the field) and shook his hand. I told him good luck in the upcoming season. In hindsight, this was a tell tell sign of how he ran his program. Very.....loosely.........
