To be in the big one, a team must win its own conference... So no
Unless it's changed since 2003 this isn't all true.Oklahoma played for the BCS NC after getting thrashed by Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship game.

They changed the rule after 03. Remember how upset the barn was at not getting in the championship game. You now have to win your conference to get in the championship game.

They did not change that rule. And when the barn didn't get in, both the teams that did won their conference.
Remember, only a few years ago OSU amd UM were #1 and #2 for the last few weeks of the season - until the final poll. Only in that final poll did FL jump UM for the #2 spot and played in the BCSSG.
Why did they jump UM? Because the two had already played and most people with a vote didn't want to see it again...
I think it's possible......if an only if the other major players have two losses and the "Fly in the soup" School each have one.

Not likely to happen, but a scenario that may create a rematch is a Texas loss, VT either losing or not playing well in the ACCCG, and we MUST win vs Florida in the SECCG. With the love affair between the media and the Florida Tebows, I mean Gators, I could see them getting a do-over, especially if we win close. If Bama loses, we have NO chance for that. They don't love us like that!

I agree with you. If we lose, we're out. So much love for Florida and Tebow that I'm sure they'll find a way to get them in.
