Chris Culliver not particularly impressed with Alabama!

Share

Free safety Chris Culliver said he was not particularly impressed with Alabama.

Quote:
"For them to be the second team in the nation and all that hype, they should be better than that," he said. "We stayed with them all the way."

Re: Chris Culliver not particularly impressed with Alabama!

Apparently the author wasn't buying it because he closed the article with this:

Quote:
Either way, matey, Alabama's my new No. 1.

A) The Tide has played a better schedule.

B) It is a better football team than Florida, right now (ask Arkansas).

Re: Chris Culliver not particularly impressed with Alabama!

Geez -- Bama may not have looked like world-beaters Saturday, but I don't know how quickly I'd say something like that if my team scored six points and allowed a guy to rush for 246 yards.

Exactly. Sour grapes. Sounds like he's saying his team just got beat by a mediocre team... What does that say for South Carolina?

Re: Chris Culliver not particularly impressed with Alabama!

Ellis Johnson already scolded Culliver publically for his comments (those and some others about the defensive schemes USC ran), stating that maybe if Culliver learned to tackle USC could've stopped Ingram. Heard it live on radio this morning. I suspect Culliver won't be doing many more interviews this season.

That said, the kid is a player and leaves it all on the field each game, so take the comments more as frustration than anything.

That, after arguably the single biggest "own" by a DB over a WR in college football history (Teague's run-down and strip, of course).

Big A Re: Chris Culliver not particularly impressed with Alabama!

Culliver stated BAMA should be better than that! What a buffoon. That says absolutely nothing about him. When will the crying stop. That will be the best USCe will play all year. They put it all on the line against Alabama. (If) USCe beats FLORIDA what does that say about ALABAMA culliver.

I am not impressed with Culliver.
