First I wanna say congrats to the Tide on the win. It was a whale of a game with some of the hardest hitting I have seen in a very long time.
It was heartbreaking for Vol fans (as I'm sure you could imagine) but I do like the way this rivalry is heading. I think Bama is there and UT is aimed in the right direction.

Thank you for your congrats. It is refreshing not to be told of Lincoln's sore leg or the fact Mount Cody beat a walk on to block the kick twice.

I think the sportsmanship and respect between the players is there. There was class on the field on both sides of the ball yesterday from what I could see. Now, if Kiffin can gain a little maturity and choose his words and actions a little more carefully (and cut out the "bad breaker-upper syndrome) I think it will go a long way toward earning the respect of the rest of the league.

Every school has knucklehead fans and add to it the way the game ended will cause some to be more emotional than normal. Bama won the game outright. Were there questionable calls/no calls? Yes but it had no impact on the game IMO. UT had a chance to win and Bama bowed their neck and made the stop. The better team won the game and it's that simple.

I tip my hat to you and the Vols, one heck of a game. You guys have nothing to hang your head about-great effort. For the record, I'll be glad to Hardesty graduate.
AllVoll, you're right. Things do seem to be heading in the right direction regarding restoring our rivalry to what it once was. Your program has shown progress during the course of the season, and you have a lot to feel good about in that regard. I was pleased with the sportsmanship demonstrated on both sides of the ball yesterday (players helping each other up, patting each other's helmets after good plays, etc) and I'm hoping we fans can all get to that point one day.

What he said...
And BAMA fans were 4 seconds away from feeling the heartbreak Vol fans feel.
No sugar-coating that. Thanks for the classy post, ALLVOL.

I appreciate your candor and your posting here today, but I would argue that the no-call Pass Interference on Julio Jones in the endzone was a game-changer. I believe it came on 3d down, and would have given us first and goal from about the 2 if called.
