If you had no idea what he might have been doing when he ran over there, you got some idea when the kicker (who was minding his own business up to that point) ran over and gave him a push. Then again, maybe you still have no idea.
Me - I have an idea...
Well...there were 30K+ screaming delirious Bama fans behind the TN bench...he might have been running over to thank us...at least that's what I thought he was doing at the time. Posted via Mobile Device
As with all the other videos of this play, I don't see anything cheap, cheating or shady.
I watched closely, but all I saw was the UT kicker shoving one of our players as he ran off the field. I personally don't see that as a big deal as I can only imagine how crappy he must have felt at that moment. It's not like he took a swing at anybody.
After the game, most of the UT and Alabama players mingled, talked, prayed and shook hands. For all we know, the UT kicker and the UA player could have come back and shook hands and apologied to each other once everything cooled down.
It's the Fulmer and Doug Dickey gang that made this game so unhealthy and Kiffen is determined to continue that. Until the UT players start acting like Fulmer and Kiffen, then I have no problem with them.
The players on the both sides, with some exceptions, are just players that love their school, want to win and don't have any ill will toward the other team's players.

I didn't see anything either, aside from a bunch of folks bumping into each other. Seems to me like some folks are looking real hard for something that just isn't there.
I didn't read all the posts. It looked to me like they didn't know where the ball was (both looking around frantically) and were following what they were taught to do if the play was still live after a block, you look for the ball, be prepared to tackle someone, or jump on the ball. The ball was not in sight and Cody was heading down field, they couldn't hear anything from the noise and they were a little confused.
I believe they thought Cody had the ball and eventually when they saw coaches and players coming on the field they headed back to their sideline.
Lets not stoop down to Kiffins level here.

While I don't think this is a big deal considering the circumstances, the kicker had to be pretty upset at the moment - but most of the team was on the field when they shoved our guys- IMO they weren't looking for the ball - they had run clear across the field and our guy was just across the script a- I thought our guy might have been running over to where Rolando and Julio downed the ball...
But so the kicker and holder shoved a couple if guys? - I'm sure our guys never felt threatened.

Their effort, their toughness, relentless resiliency, go out every play and focus, play the next play, compete for 60 minutes in the game, I can't handle that.' That's the kind of football team we want."
