Re: UNA makes non-BCS top 10...
Bowden has them rolling, they just destroyed Valdosta State. Good luck to the Lions on the rest of the season.

Right below another Alabama college, the Trojans of Troy University.

True, good to see another Alabama school getting some national recognition...Troy stole one of our coaches also, Kenny Edenfield...not a big fan but that's another story all together, good coach.

Re: UNA makes non-BCS top 10...
UNA is almost ridiculous. They had 24 Div 1 transfers come in this year, including Fanney from Bama, McSwain from Ole Miss, this guy from Nebraska/NCState, plus several from Diddy at FSU.
If Tater Tot doesn't get a NC trophy out of this group, it's going to be a huge letdown.

If they make it to the NC game, you better come up and watch.

Re: UNA makes non-BCS top 10...
My Dad played football at what was then Florence State University in 1951-1955, the year I was born. He always went to homecoming even if it meant him missing a Bama game. He'd be very proud of the Lions.
I had a scholarship offer to play there in 73 but I met Mickey Andrews, the head coach at the time, and he scared me to death..... lol...so I passed and went elsewhere.

I would love to see them win another NC. I haven't really followed UNA that closely since my brother played there on their 93 and 94 NC teams...

The Lions have 24 former FBS players on their roster.

Re: UNA makes non-BCS top 10...
I want to say that I am very proud of my alma mata. Coach Bowden definitely has UNA rolling and I would be very suprised if we didn't win the national championship this year. Our previous coach, mark hudspeth, now at Miss State, came close but could not get us to the big game. I think coach bowden win NC this year and next year and leaves for bigger school. Gotta enjoy it while he's there.
