Interesting article/blog. I thought this comment was telling:
"But don't kid yourself. It has subsided, but it’s still very much about the coaches.
Miles has a Saban problem and, as usual, may say something to ignite the Alabama camp. Saban has been aggravated by Miles' comments, but he, as usual, will stay on the high road. Last year Saban even said Miles won more games than he would have had he stayed at LSU. Miles, meanwhile, has given Saban little credit since early on at LSU. In fact, he refuses to say his name. This may show more inferiority than gamesmanship."
I'm sure the LSU posters will say the writer has some vendetta against Miles or agenda; but then again I think Miles' inferiority complex carries over to the fanbase.

I don't care what Glen Guilbeau has to say nor do I care what Les Miles says or doesn't say about Nick Saban or the Alabama program. I doubt either one of the coaches will be stupid enough to drop a bulletin board bomb this close to the game.
It was nice after last years game to not have to deal with the LSU fans and their "victory behavior" in my community. They got real quiet for the rest of the year. I would love to experience the same thing again. It's quite peaceful...

I'm looking forward to a great game between Bama and LSU. It will be a war as it always is. I hated the off-week even though we really needed one. A week without Bama football really sucks.

In only his third year at Alabama, the majority of those on the two-deep roster are Saban signees as he inherited little from Mike Shula other than problems. He hasn’t won with Shula’s players. He made Shula’s players winners, which is what he did with Gerry DiNardo’s lot at LSU.

I used to have to put up with that, and it's part of the reason I have grown over the years to dislike the who's so much. They win, you never hear the end of it and they expect you to congratulate them, tell them how wonderful they are and how much better than Bama they are; they lose, and you can't get so much as a "good game" out of them.

This is what I like to call "hitting the nail on the head".

Uh, do you guys think that it's only LSU who's capable of this kind of behavior? I've seen a little of it both ways.
Boorish fans are common everywhere. You notice the ones who do it to you. I seem to remember several LSU fans (myself included) who came here and congratualted Bama. Matter of fact, I remember someone posting and saying "keep my insincere congatulations to myself"

Not me!
After Bama beats LSU's brains out, I want you to come back here and spread all the insincere congratulations we can handle!

A "little" both ways? Both fan bases have some of the most idiotic fans between the two there is in college football.
Depending on which fan base you're apart of I'm sure you've run into some of the idiots. Everybody has their different experiences with other fan bases. Not all of them are champagne and bubbles. Being that I've lived in Louisiana so long my worst experiences has been from the LSU fan base. But that is soley because I'm not surrounding by any other fan base. But some of my best experiences have been with LSU fans as well.
I'll stick with Bayou's assessment on this subject. You will ultimately find what you're looking for. If you're looking for confrontation, and "no respect" and "delusional fans" then odds are you'll find it. But if you're looking for a good time, good banter, good friends and good food you'll find it to. Most people that have these experiences are the problem, because they have a chip on their shoulder or some sort of insecurity to begin with.

Absolutely not...but as BB says, it's from your experiences that you draw your conclusions.
Barn fans around my workplace will never stop crowing when they beat Bama, but I have never witnessed the same from Bama fans (except in response to silence some Barner looking for an argument, or amongst other Bama fans enjoying the win). Not to say it doesn't happen elsewhere, but I don't see it, and I'm sure I would if it were a frequent occurrence around me.
Who fans were the same way; I never, ever rubbed it in when we won, never even said a word. But the who fans I was generally surrounded by went on and on and on for weeks, ad nauseam. It was their inferiority, because traditionally for so many years Bama owned them, that they couldn't just let it go and wait until next year.
It was exemplified in late August by an Ole Miss and a who fan at work, talking at a company event (they had no idea I could hear them), saying how Bama was so overrated and they would both beat the crap out of us, we would lose 4 games and they would contend for the West title. Bama has taken care of part of that argument; Saturday I look forward to them taking care of the other half.
