OK...and doesn't that back up my initial point! We beat a better offense (TN) with field goals and therefore we could beat a worse offense (LSU) with even less points if we had too.
IMO, LSU's offense is playing its best ball of the season right now...statistically Tenn. has a better offense, but do any of us really believe Tenn. offense is better than LSU's? LSU will move the ball during some point in the game, whether we like it or not...hopefully just not that often.
Too me LSU has more playmakers, and if I wanted to break down the 2 offenses position by position, and take up an hour of my time I could probably convince anyone who thought otherwise, IMHO.
I'm not going to argue something that is impossible to prove, but for those of you who think LSU's offense is worse or as bad as Tennessee's 1-dimensional offense is badly mistaken and may find out the hard way Saturday. LSU may not have the stats to back it but this is an offense that is loaded with talent and has the ability to beat you on the ground and the air, which scares me alot more than Tenn.'s offense which has Hardesty, and well Hardesty, did Crompton do a good job, yes, but lets not forget Tenn.'s offense was less than stellar for 58 minutes, and didn't show any life until MI fumbled.
In the end we beat Tenn. and we have to do the same, ugly, pretty, or somewhere in between Saturday!
We hold our own destiny...we can analyze how we did against Tenn. all we want, but no 2 Saturday's is ever the same, Roll Tide!

Why do we so often have to discuss the fact that LSU is absolutely loaded with under-performing talent? Something to think about...

Just FYI in the debate btw the Vols' offense and the LSU offense (this simply looks at the last 3 games):
Vols
Opponent's Total Defense: 334.06 yds/game
Vols Averaged: 384.88 yds/game
LSU
Opponent's Total Defense: 340.52 yds/game
LSU Averaged: 331 yds/game
The current average defensive ranking for the teams the Vols played is 29th.
The current average defensive ranking for the teams LSU played is 59th.
LSU is no sure fire win, but you can't say that their offense is performing better that the last team Bama played.
As Earle once said that Mark Twain once said there are lies, there are damn lies, and there are statistics. If anybody thinks UT is in the same class with LSU right now you are dreaming.
