"Yea, I saw it on replay. It was pretty bad," Kiffin said. "But we are worried about our team and what we can control. We have a lot of work to do. Obviously, Urban will discipline his team. Or not."
Well, kinda a classy move by Spikes. Doesn't make up for it, but still...
After last Saturday, using "classy" and "Spikes" in the same sentence doesn't fit. Come to think of it, Florida and class doesn't fit either. Maybe they should just change their name from "Gators" to "Hurricanes".

A good game plan vigorously executed right now is far better than a perfect game plan executed next week. General George Patton (paraphrased)
Florida linebacker Brandon Spikes made a 19-second statement to reporters in Gainesville on Wednesday night, announcing he will effectively suspend himself for the entire Vanderbilt game for his attempted eye gouge of a Georgia player.
Maybe it's just me being the old cynic that I am, but what I see here is damage control in anticipation of the NFL draft.

This is old hat for UM. In 2006 DE Jarvis Moss and a teammate tested positive for marijuana just before USC game. Meyer opted to let them play and then suspended them for the Western Carolina game the following week. Moss wasa huge factor in the game as he played every down on defense and blocked USC's game-winning FG try on the last play of the game to preserve a 17-16 win and an eventual national title. Without the 6-6 Moss that day UF loses the game and their championship.
