At some point doesn't T. K. Wetherell have to say that enough is enough and rein in Diddy?

Agreed. I wonder if Wetherell will come out publicly and say that it will be Fishers decision. Otherwise, they risk not getting a quality DC by giving the new guy no job security beyond one year...

Interesting to see what happens. I wonder if Mac Brown and Will Muschamp are paying attention??

You get the feeling, that all is not going to end well at FSU.
Exactly. And as a result of what has been happening over there the last 5+ years Florida is just cleaning up in the state with recruiting. They certainly aren't helping the rest of the SEC out, although we typically do pretty well in the panhandle ourselves.

I believe that since push has come to shove at FSU, Coach Bowden is pushing back.

Re: One Year Remaining Bowden says of new DC Hire "I'll make the final decision"

It looks like when the media called Bowden on it he let his ego get in the way and felt compelled to respond as he did. What happens "behind the scenes" may be quite different. I suspect that Bowden will approve the DC that Fisher wants to hire and everything will be okay. But you never know.

You know, up to this point I have supported CBB, but this is simply not a supportable decision. CBB needs to be fired at the end of this season. His ego is out of control, and he is clearly putting it ahead of FSU...
Now that I look at it, Richt at georgia has some of the more hardheaded qualities that Bowden possesses. Bowden is going to take the program down in flames with him.

Agree. I'm a fan of BB but this is getting rediculous. Furthermore, a DC won't know what's been agreed to behind-the-scenes so will be leery of signing with FSU until BB is out of the way and a HC is in place.

If I'm FSU, I'm seeing several young coaches I'd rather have as HC. Wonder if Jimbo will receive an offer he can't refuse and "resign" at year-end, akin to Tuberville...

The head coach in waiting is a very bad setup. Look for FSU to struggle for a few more years.

He has already taken it down! Just waiting on the flames I suppose.

I don't think you can blame it on the plan. Kentucky isn't having a problem with it, Texas isn't now and I don't foresee them having a problem with it in the future. FSU has a problem on their hands because they have a coach who refuses to recognize what is best for the program and do it.

He's retiring this fall. He's the one responsible for the mess anyway!
