Agreed - it looked like a pick to me, but I think our D forces them to turn the ball over on downs either way.
What the heck was GMac thinking on that play? Hindsight is 20/20, but I am shocked that we had an empty backfield on that play, and even more shocked that GMac didn't just tuck it and take the no-gain.
He shoulda thrown it away, out of bounds.

Wanna say good game by Bama...specifically Ingram.
Obviously, I've got my complaints about the striped ones...and wish we hadn't had so many guys go down.
Peterson picked that one...with BOTH feet in. I'm sure Les will have a fine coming his way this week.
I think this game answered some questions for LSU fans. Particularly, why Jordan Jefferson is QB instead of Lee. (yes, believe it or not, some were in Lee's camp )
Not the crushing you expected though, GCTider. Good game, as expected.
Classy first sentence, but then you had to start the whining.

I hate it, but a lot of people are going to say that we got some home cooking tonight. If they look at the stats, they will see why we won, but the officials did help us out a bit...
that first Smelly catch? that safety after the ball was incorrectly spotted? A LSU player hits it at the 4 or 5 yard line. sorry they made bad calls or no calls all day for both sides.
I think if peterson doesn't bring the ball to his side and just holds it out it would have been a pick.... but I think the spot on the punt was a worse call, guess it just matters which team you pull for. I do think the better team won

I agree bad calls both ways, FWIW. That was just the most recent one that went against LSU. I think one of the no call PIs was PI on LSU. I think the one that WAS called was silly...ball landed 4 feet OOB. Then they waved off the call against you guys saying it was uncatchable (it was uncatchable).

I don't understand the cramping by Peterson. It definitely ain't conditioning. He's quite "conditioned". But it was weird with a temp of about 70 degrees to see him cramping all game. It made a difference in the game too.
-
The biggest difference to me was the relentless Ingram pounding, only to get hit with TR when Ingrams takes a breather. The biggest difference regarding injuries was Jefferson going out. Jarrett Lee has a great arm and lightning fast release, but he just cannot read a defense. That, and I think nerves had him overthrowing the deep balls.

Again, good game by both teams...great game by Ingram.

Well, at least we kept hope alive for the Cotton. I'm in Dallas again, and should still be here then. Maybe I'll be able to see my team play while I'm stuck out here.

If you win out as you should - it should be Orlando. You deserve it and should put a whipping on Iowa or PSU and finish 11-2 again. If you lose one, Dallas, though you could still make Orlando with one more loss.
Two tough teams showing a ton of heart and pride, exactly the kind of game that I expected. Good luck the rest of the way.

I have to say, I have lived in Tuscaloosa for almost eight years now, and I've worked on the Strip for a couple of years now, and this was one of the best overall gameday environments I've seen.
Tons of LSU fans, which I really respect. Overall a great weekend.
