I see FSU is going to a black helmet. I read that they plan to use this uniform in their game against Maryland.

FSU football team to get new high-tech uniforms, and black helmets

it's an ad. they are trying to make it look "cool". don't think you'll see teams with logos on their thigh pads beaming through their pants.
I don't know. It almost looks like the logo is a part of the thigh pad itself. Rather than the 3 ridges (like on the left side), there are 2 ridges and the logo. It could be just for the ad, but then again, maybe not.

Nike Pro Combat Teams

Even worse... there are logos and uniform design changes associated with this campaign. Fortunately it doesn't look like we are going to be one of the 10 teams in the rollout nor are Penn State or USC. The teams missing from the photo are: TCU, FSU, LSU, Mizzou, and Miami.

So far most of the uniform changes aren't horrible, but Nike has made Oregon into their dressup doll. Let's hope it isn't contagious.

OU in white helms doesn't seem like OU.

If the only real changes relate to the extra wicking, then I'm cool with it...

I've gotta say, I think LSU got hosed the worst. They are now the UW Huskies. I wonder how much money it takes to let Nike change your school colors?

I'm starting to get a bad feeling about this. I hope our staff doesn't let them change anything.

I doubt they want to be responsible for World War III starting in the city of Tuscaloosa...

At least I hope they feel that way.

A matter of time before the AD's "picman" contacts Nike regarding their usage of copyrighted logos....

Re: New Nike "Pro Combat" uniform for Alabama

I'm kind of confused. Why does the original post with the Nike picture have the teams in its normal looking uniforms? But the later links in the thread have pictures of totally opposite looking uniforms?

LSU looking like U-Dub is not good. FSU's just looks weird with the black helmet; their uniform was always better looking with gold helmet and pants and garnet jersey.

Like some others here, I'm kind of worried what Alabama's will look like. I better not see anything but numbers on the helmets. The only recent uniform "update" that I've liked is the houndstooth collar and that is it.
