I'd rather (from both a cautionary, but also, an interest perspective) see our 2nd team play practically the ENTIRE game--make it a JV game (like they used to do "in the day"). Honestly, do you think our 2nd team wouldn't get extremely pumped up knowing they were going to start a game in BD stadium? Think the fans might show more interest in a game starring Star Jackson et al? Let the seniors on for the 2nd drives, give them standing O's, and let them chear on the players who have been giving their all during practices, 2-a-days, etc..

Agreed. Let the 2nd teamers start. A substantial amount of injuries seem to come in these type of games-I don't know why. Plus it would be like a Fall version of the A-Day game, except you have to pay for the tickets...

Won't happen. The starters will start, but my guess is CNS' goal will be to have them out after halftime at the latest. Look for a LOT of rotation and bring your full roster to the game... there's going to be a lot of first-time players this week.

But remember... if you want Ingram to have a shot at the Heisman he needs to play and get some decent stats this week. And I, for one, think as long as we're in the run for the BCS then there's NOTHING wrong with working a solid player like that towards the Heisman.

Also, remember it's Senior Day. If you're a Senior, and you haven't played, you're getting your letter today.

That is... if we take care of business. CNS won't sacrifice a win for rest.

It is a "morning" game (early kickoff), so at least it's not a night game.

Yet another reason for me to hate the 12th game. The Chattanooga game serves absolutely no competitive purpose. The only reason it exists is to make $$$$. Frankly I think the athletic departments at Bama and most schools were doing just fine without yet another cash cow. Next up they'll add a 13th game and eliminate one quarter in favor of an extra 45 minutes of Applebee's commercials.
Only about 25% of the Div 1 teams made money last season while the rest struggled to break even.
