Link New U.S. hot dog eating record

This article is about grilling but in ain't about chilling. I smell a new world record when Joey Chestnut faces the great Kobayashi at the annual Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest this July 4th.

New U.S. hot dog eating record established
Quote:
Civil engineering student Joey Chestnut set a new U.S. hot dog eating record at a Thursday qualifier for a spot in Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest this summer, according to a Radio New Zealand report.

The 22-year-old Chestnut, who attends San Jose State, ate 50 hot dogs in buns in 12 minutes in Las Vegas to break Sonny Thomas' record of 42 set last year.

Wonder what kind of social life he has? It would probably be quite a turn-off for a girl if he took her to dinner and his competitive eating streak kicked in as they were dining and he polished off both their meals in 2 1/2 minutes.

VJ that's probably a question best left unanswered.
