Ribs n' more tonight

Share

I haven't posted in awhile on the G&C Forum. Here are some pictures and a little info of what is on the table tonight at the BamaGoose household.

Ribs- Slab of Beef Spare Ribs and Slab of Pork Spare Ribs.

Beef ribs middle to left. Pork ribs middle to right.

Seasoned Steak Fries.

Bush's Grillin' Baked Beans.

Simple slaw recipe. I will post if someone would like it. MiL loves it so it must be good.

For dessert.

Bread Pudding - topped with Bacardi Rum Sauce and pecans.

Use a bag of the pre-cut cole slaw.

Dice a 1/4 of an onion

Dice a 1/2 of red bell pepper (optional)

1/4 to 1/2 cup of sweet relish- if you use more it will be a sweeter slaw.

1 cup of Marzetti cole slaw dressing.

Combine all ingredients and mix well, sprinkle liberally with black pepper. Refrigerate for a couple of hours or overnight. Slaw will last about 3 days unless you eat it all sooner.

Well, that's certainly simple enough! Thanks. How'd the ribs turn out?

Re: Ribs n' more tonight

Ribs were so good that I think I will start selling them instead of eating them.

They had the right amount of hickory smoke taste and I used just Lawry's seasoned salt this time. It made a world of difference. Simple is best in my opinion when it comes to seasoning.

Thanks. I followed the recipe on this box of Bruce's Bread Pudding I picked up at Bass Pro Shop. The rum sauce was strong but luckily I kept it on the side and added what I wanted which wasn't much. The wife enjoyed it though. I liked the Pudding with a big ol' glass of cold milk.
