Hartselle Rolls

Hartselle's program is on the rise, and back to back victories over state champs offers real hope. Last week, Russellville - last night, Cordova.

Go Tigers!!!

Congratulations,

I was at the Cordova game. Hartselle`s O-Line is huge. They run a good spread offense that we couldn`t stop, but they need to shore up their D. They had a hard time with our RB (Tim Simon). But a lot of teams have trouble with him.

Thanks - not too sure that we will face another Simon this year...

He`s really a special player. Sometimes the video highlights just doesn`t do him justice.

I stood behind the visitors stands during the game. Talked to a few of the Hartselle faithful and they said ya`ll play Athens this coming Friday. That should be a great game. I wouldn`t mind seeing William Ming (Athens) play in person against that big O-line.

Hartselle dominated Athens, winning 35 - 0. Looking good...

Re: Hartselle Rolls

Hartselle moves to 8-0 and should have pitched its 5th shutout of the season.

Final score 40-6...

Re: Hartselle Rolls

Another win (44-6), now 9-0, playing Decatur (7-2) for an undefeated regular season this Friday.

Re: Hartselle Rolls

Hartselle beats a TOUGH Decatur team 19-16 to go 10 and 0! Hartselle needed that game to prepare for the playoffs. Heck of a defensive stand with about 3 minutes to go in the game and Decatur first and goal at the 9. Now, lets go win 5 more!!

Re: Hartselle Rolls

Hartselle throws the game away. Sloppy play costs the best team in 5A a championship. Too bad, but if you can't perform every week in the playoffs, you deserve to lose, and they played about as poorly (on offense) as a team can play in a game. I lost count of the turnovers...

Hated to see ya`ll lose, congratulations on good season. I was hoping we would both make it to B`ham for the super 6. The 5A and 3A games are usually played on the same day. We play T.R. Miller in the semifinals this coming Friday.

That will be a big challenge. T.R. Miller has had a good program for many years. And here is a tidbit for you. They haven't been shut out since the second round of the playoffs in 1987, which comes to the state's longest scoring streak at 279 games. So, thats something for your boys to shoot for.

They will definately keep their scoring record intact against us. Our defense leaves a lot to be desired. Look at our games... for us to win we have to score a lot of points.
