Great job by new Hoover coach (and former Crimson Tide player) Josh Niblett!

In Coach Niblett's first year at Hoover he has led the Bucs to a one loss (Camden County GA) season and a trip back to the 6A Championship game.

Congratulations to the players and staff on an undefeated (in state) season and their unprecedented 8th appearance in the last nine years in the Alabama 6A title game.

Some of you may not be aware of this but Bobby Humphrey's son, Maudrecus #26, is a Junior wide receiver on the team and if he continues to work hard both on and off the field may become an SEC caliber D1 prospect next year.

He's only had receptions in 5 or 6 games this year (not sure why) but has 20 receptions for 459 yds. (23 yds per catch) and 4 TD's.

This year's edition of the Buc's doesn't really have any stand-out big time college prospects like in years past but Coach Niblett is getting the absolute most out of his players as they are playing as hard as they can.

Unfortunately, this may not be enough against undefeated defending state champ Prattville as they look pretty much unbeatable. Should be another hard fought game between the top two programs in the state yet again.
