With only seven seniors set to graduate, Grissom High football coach Ronny Massey was looking forward to a reversal of fortune next year following a 3-7 record this season.

But the coach, who has come under increased scrutiny in recent years with the Tigers last posting a winning record in 2002, won't get the chance to turn things around. Tom Drake, the school's principal, told Massey he was making a coaching change. "He asked me about next season," said Massey, who had come under increased pressure from boosters. "I said next year will be a lot better. He then said he had decided we would have a coaching change." Massey's record at Grissom was 51-56 from 1999-2008.

You now, with as many kids (and $) they have to work with, it looks like Grissom would field a better team...

They're going to have 31 seniors next season. I was thinking; I dont know about you but where I went to school 31 wasn't much less than the number of our whole team.
