Sadly, I think our problems in tonight's game were apparent from the first game of the season. We had no offensive identity all year, and I'd have given up all the blowouts against the Vanderbilts, and Ole Miss's to have had a more balanced offense. -

Opinions on our defense
I thought our D got after the quarterback a lot better in this game than any of our previous ones this year. There were times when there were so many defensive players in Arkansas' backfield, it looked like we were on O going the other way! -

The most excited I got in the game was when Mack Wilson knocked their running back out at 1 yard line. It's hard to complain too much when your biggest disappointment is letting a team get a meaningless touchdown at the end of blowout. -

I think bill polian (former Indy gm) conducted a study for draft planning purposes on player size and winning percentage and found that heavier teams did not win more than lighter ones. I wonder about that. I'm hoping that we'll just see a bit 'market correction' (for lack of a better term), where once defenses re-adapt to the hurryup/spread offense by having more agile and fleeter-of-foot defenders, offenses will go back to smashmouth football using tight ends and fullbacks...
