Smile Man Pays $120 Speeding Ticket in Pennies

Well, I thought this was a great way to show protest. Too bad the judge found a way to get even.

A man ticketed for speeding thought he'd get even by paying his fine with 12,000 pennies. But the judge had the final word by making him wait for the change to be counted.

$120? He would have been shelling out 30,000 pennies in Texas.

Speed and red light cameras are going up all over the place in DC. The lie is that it's for public safety. The truth is that it's a revenue raiser -- to the tune of millions of dollars so far.

Big brother at work. Of course, in the wake of the British bombings, the cameras on the tube, helped them to quickly nab the suspects.

I'm not so much bothered by security cameras that are geared to prevent crime/terrorism. I do have a problem with rigged cameras (the company that operates these gets a "commission" on every ticket) and the glaring conflict of interest. Local DC government is as corrupt as it comes. I've received bogus parking tickets and even had my car towed when I was parked legally!

It would have been funnier if he'd been busted for breaking into vending machines...
