You have used every misfortune that has befallen this country as an opportunity to attack the current administration. You have lowered yourselves to a level that I never believed possible for Americans.

Tell me - what have you done to effect change? Do you think that your mindless attacks are helping? Has the conservative movement weakened in any way?

Only THOUGHTFUL debate can change the minds of men. Your childish attacks do nothing but strengthen the resolve of those that support this administration. An administration that has made many mistakes is actually made stronger by your attacks because conservatives rally to his support that might have otherwise demanded change.

I am disgusted...

I am going to check out of the non-sports forum for a while before I get banned. Football season is upon us and I look forward to the associated discussions..

I get angry myself too, that's part of what makes posting here interesting. Some days I'll take the bait & get bent out of shape, other days I'll pitch a little bait out there hoping to twist a few tails myself.
Love & peace, let's all change the world for the better, working together. Just let me decide how best to do it.

No hard feelings NYBamaFan.

I have to 2nd what NYBamaFan says.

I certainly don't post as much as I used to on this board. I found myselft getting too worked up. That's the way it gets when you have people on opposited ends of the spectrum debating beliefs that neither side would compromise.

I have lost respect for both sides. Only the middle is right.

Well, jump on in. The water's warm.

I lost respect for conservatives about 2 years into the Bush presidency.

I've thought about listening to Sirius "Center" channel. It's predictable in every situation what the "Left" will say about a situation and what the "Right" will say. I wonder what the "Center" says:

"Well, we agree with some of what the Left says and some of what the Right says."

I just wonder if listening to a few hours of Sirius "Left" and then a few hours of Sirius "Right" will be equivalent to twice the number of hours listening to Sirius "Center".

It's hard to label what is an "extremist" nut.

I've met people that are liberal on certain issues and conservative on others. They are often quite uncaring on about 99% of issues, but have that one single issue that they are so zealous about.

We seem so sure that someone that is liberal on one issue is going to be liberal on them all, but that's hardly ever the case.

I'll bet that everyone could be labeled an extremist within the scope of a single issue. Slab knows one issue upon which not to antagonize me. For most of the regular posters on this site, I can think of one issue that will turn them into a raving lunatic. However, on most other issues, they maintain composure and have fairly mainstream opinions.

I've heard some people say that the internet and the resulting access has polarized us. I'm not sure that is true as much as the internet allows people to engage on emotional issues without the same threatening aspect as face-to-face confrontation... and it seems that most of us have stepped up to the plate. Almost anyone can be set off on some issue that is dear to them.
