"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

The saddest part is that we put them there in the first place and continue to let them stay there!

And we put ourselves where we are and continue to stay there. Wait a minute, I left.

I had a pastor years ago in MS that really hit the nail on the head. He said there is a difference between people that "do" and people that "talk about doing" and we've got a country full of people that "talk about doing".

He said we're a society that is quick to put together an organization for a cause, spend thousands of dollars to make signs, but once the pep rally is over that is about all the effort that is put forth. He used the "Neighborhood Watch Program" as a great example. He said he lived in a neighborhood that supposedly participated in the "Neighborhood Watch Program" . Their neighborhood had the signs put up all over the neighborhood that read "This neighborhood is protected by the 'Neighborhood Watch'.....etc." One of the neighbors was off work one day and was sitting on his front porch. A truck backs into the driveway across the street and started bringing furniture and other items from the house and loading it up on a truck. The guy watched these two guys for over an hour load the truck and then drive off. Long story short he watched his neighbors house get burglarized and never said or did one thing. Asked why he didn't at least call his neighbor at work or maybe the local authorities he said "What goes on at my neighbors is none of my business."
Yet this guy will be the exact one to complain about how bad the crime rate is getting but when having the opportunity to do something he chooses not to.

Perfect picture of our society.

Is that an outhouse?

I am reminded of what flows downhill.
