Bailey, serving an in-home sentence for a DWI-related conviction, wore an electronic monitoring device on his ankle. He knew if he strayed more than 150 feet from his home in St. Paul, Minn., he'd set off an alarm.

But there is about a four-minute delay on the alarm, which means no one would be the wiser if he could drive three blocks to the restaurant and return home within that time.

The illicit food run didn't work out. Apparently upset that his drive-through order was taking too long, Bailey allegedly started using foul language, prompting manager Danielle Weaver to refuse him service.

An angered Bailey then kicked out the drive-through window, valued at nearly $1,100, police said. He did, however, make it home before the alarm went off.
