I start Monday. I have been unemployed 11 months as of today. It is about time.

Thanks everyone. No, I am not having to relocate, but I will have about a 30 mile drive, one way. I will be working as a refrigeration tech for a company at a plant that does various foodstuffs. On a worldwide level I am told they are #3 in competition with companies such as Halliburton and Bechtel. Now I'll have another reason to vote against anyone who would include Dick Cheney in their admins. LOL

Good for you, Stan! You accepted that job on my birthday, so I claim one percent credit for it! You deserve everyone's admiration for keeping up your spirits and staying in there fighting. Unemployment is debilitating and stressful and demorailzing. You beat it, and you should be very proud of yourself. I add my own congratulations and best wishes for a long and rewarding career with your new company. Roll Damn Tide!

Thanks again. Yes it is somewhat demoralizing. I have had my credentials run down and I was even told I would get one job and was not hired. After everything else, I was scared to death of the drug test. My daughter worked in an office that worked with juvenile delinquents. All four of the women in the office tested positive for drugs. I doubt any were using any drugs. But the testing was faulty. They wound up changing testing companies. I was very afraid I would get a faulty test. I knew I was clean, but would I get a good test. Fortunately I did.
