He should no longer be allowed to watch, either. Idiot.

A good game plan vigorously executed right now is far better than a perfect game plan executed next week. General George Patton (paraphrased)
This guy doesn't belong in jail, but he needs counseling. The way that he went after the other father (holding the video camera) tells you that he had totally lost it.
If I thought that another child was needlessly hurting one of my boys, I might have asked the ref to stop the match. And, if that didn't happen, I might have gently lifted the other boy off of my son - but I would never throw any child. The very thought is painful.
And, if the father was really concerned about his son's well-being, why didn't he look after his son after "moving" the other boy instead of going after the other father?
I don't know what he was thinking, and I really don't think that jail would help anyone, but this guy needs help...
I saw a piece on that this afternoon, I was kinda floored and wondered why he was poiting at the guy holding the camera. Now I know. It's kinda frustrating with some of these parents, they should understand what they are putting their kids into and should understand the outcome at times. Goes for all sports.
I got reemed royally last year when a mothers son got beaned in the face with a line drive. Of course I felt bad for the kid it's happened to one of mine. Just one of those parents that liked to fluff up at anything involving their sons playtime, position, and play.
Anyhow yeah that's a bone headed move on that guys part. Jail no bar from events yeah.
It's so sad when a parent can't keep a grip on themselves. How embarrassing for his son. Can you imagine being his 11 year old son and having your dad do that to you during a match? What happened to teaching kids how to lose with dignity? It was a legal hold, the kid got caught in it and couldn't get out. No shame in losing a match honestly. How is the kid going to learn to defend against a move like that if Dad barges in, basically giving the kid the message: You aren't good enough to handle this yourself, so I'll fix it for you. And don't even get me started on laying your hands on a kid out of anger like that. Holy moly!
I would agree, based on what I saw of the video that I don't think jail time would be warranted, but a nice stiff fine and since the government seems to have all of these programs like anger management, let the jerk attend some of those.
Good thing it was not my kid, the idiot's best outcome would be a beat down and at worst might have got himself shot. (Moral of the sentence: Don't attack/mess with kids.)
