no, but today would have been a great day to take in the Business Man's Special at the Nashville Sounds vs. Memphis Redbirds game. I didn't know it until today, and my boss has season tickets. I'll get to the next one.

Nothing like dogging off work at 11:30, being in a seat at the ball park at noon for first pitch, and drinking ballpark beer all afternoon.

Guilty as charged.

Hell of a game in the rain. (I wonder if Radiohead provided halftime entertainment.) I love the atmosphere of European soccer. No piped in music or inane instruction on how/when to cheer from the P.A. announcer.

Since Arsenal didn't make it this year, I was pulling for Man U. Nice win.

hehe i love seeing chelski lose, that team always reminds me of southpark characters. Now it is time for me to where my AIG jersey around and be obnoxious until I am beaten my midget houligans.

Having lived in Chelea for a couple years, I was always partial to them - as much as a non-soccer fan living in Chelsea can be, I guess. However, there's something about Man U that I like, too. My good friends in London are huge Liverpool fans so I gravitated toward them as well and we watch Liverpool matches whenever I visit.

But that said, the match yesterday was pretty awesome. Looked like two heavyweights battling it out to the 15th round. The miss by Chelsea that would have sealed it was heartbreaking. It looked like us missing the chipshot FG vs Arkansas a few years ago that would have given us the win in OT. Heartbreaking.

Anyway, that's probably the most I'll ever post on soccer ever again. That, and I think this post is in the appropriate board...NON SPORTS!

It took me about 5 hours to finally get the whole game in. I had DVR'd it and got cut off after the first OT b/c I forgot to pad the recording. Luckily ESPN2 was playing a replay at 6pm so I recorded that and picked it back up at about 11pm last night. What a game! Ronaldo is so much fun to watch with the ball, but he looks like a douche with 45lbs of Jersey style guido petroleum, a mullet, and a mohawk all in one haircut.

I'm a Liverpool fan myself. A very close friend of mine father died in a trampling incident at Hillsborough when too many Liverpool fans were let into a tight area and were trampled. 96 people died that day in 1989. My friend was not one of the ones dead b/c he was supposed to meet his father there after the game had started b/c he was running late.
