Truly sad and tragic...although I know how tempers can flare, especially when alcohol is involved.

It sounds like he could probably claim self-defense on the male since a pistol was pulled first. I don't know if he has much of a case with his wife, though.

Actually several have been deleted from the football forum. The topic is not about football but a murder. No players were involved, it didn't happen at the stadium and this is where it belongs.

I believe the self-defense claim is allowable if based on (1) a statement of intention to kill the defendant (gunman Michael Williams in this case) and (2) credible belief on the part of the defendant that the deceased had the means to carry out the threat. If the woman had a gun and said she was going to use it, then self-defense would, I believe, hold up.

LSU fan comes to Bama fan's house with a gun to continue an argument the LSU fan started over the phone. He got what was coming to him.

Now they are saying Smith was a Bama fan...but had several DUI convictions, was arrested for domestic violence, criminal mischief, etc...

Sad, but considering his past, I guess it shouldn't be a total shock either.
