Disagree. Both Reagan and Clinton would have won in landslides had they been able to run for a third term, and Clinton at least would have loved to run.

I was a donor and volunteer for the Obama campaign-which, let me tell you, in Palin country that was all kinds of fun. I like the guy and think he's going to do a good job. I'm even against term limits as a matter of principle (I don't believe in limiting the power of people to vote for whomever they wish subject to reasonable qualification.) This bill is just a bad idea doomed to failure.
I meant beat up in the sense of being used up. Reagan was well on his way to Alzheimer's by Jan. 1989. Clinton had bypass surgery not long after leaving office.

Both had gone through tumultuous 2nd terms. Clinton was impeached, and Reagan narrowly avoided a similar fate over Iran-Contra.

Were the Democrats to nominate someone as rudderless as John Kerry, maybe Bush 43 could eek out a win again.

Anyhow, the Church of Obama is getting a little outrageous with its worship rituals. Commemorative coins and other ridiculous knickknacks on QVC and elsewhere, a 24 hr Obama Channel on Comcast, inauguration tickets in the $1000s, women swooning at speeches, people talking about how he should get a shot at a 3rd term....
sort of ironic how all of these radical marxists have the gall to sell people things they want and making a profit doing so isn't it

I'm not sure which doomsday scenarios you have in mind, but the US is in deep trouble. To anyone paying attention it is obvious. It is not Obama's doing, though IMO, his remedies will speed up the process and make it more difficult to recover.

This has to be the craziest thing I've read recently...
You haven't spent much time here lately, have you?

"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

True. Since the football season ended, I've spent less time on here. I only skim through the articles posted on here.

I believe that in the present business climate, that's an excellent idea. I hope for your sake that you are not too late.

My idea did not go over so well.

Must be the economy.

This place has been pretty slow since well before football season ended.

Election burnout is probably the culprit.

Plus, new House/Senate just got sworn in, and "that one" hasn't been inaugurated yet.
