Are these the same scientists that Al Gore quotes?

"The more CO2, the warmer the weather." ???

I don't put much thought into this hoax. Temperatures fluctuate in cycles of about a decade, as hot as the late 90s and early 2000s were, and yet the summer of 2006 was one of the coolest in many, many years. I guess those same scientists disregard things that don't agree with the garbage they're pushing in the public schools.
CO2 is a known greenhouse gas, so is methane and many other.
The climate has been warming and signs are that it will continue. I dont know of one study that says otherwise so regardless of what you said happened in 06, its not true. Science says the leading culprit is mans activities. I cant believe that it was only 50 years ago that we went through this same sort of denial with cigarette smoking.

No, what's amazing is the preponderance of posters here with the conceit to think that they know more than the climate science community, somehow without staying updated on the journals. My Nature link was just a continually refreshed summary of recent findings. Don't try and paint me as the pretentious one here; it's those who refuse to recognize the balance of expert opinion who are the arrogant figures in the tragedy of this board.

knee-jerk contrarianism has been made easier and even more seductive by the internet.

the mere act of making a stand against "conventional wisdom" is a definitive sign of supra-logic. just ask those who have made such a stand. they will tell you so.

I'll paint you as I wish to paint you, as will you in return. And realistically, I think our opinions have long been formed at this point, no? Sometimes the shoe just slips right on kiddo.

Tragedy? Please. You'll neither change nor save the world here.

No matter how many times this is dispelled, it keeps coming back. I give up.
Read it for yourself. You may not like how foolish it makes scientists who claim to be experts on climates look, but here's the article.

They were wrong in the 1970s, but you're sayng they CAN'T be wrong now?

Color me shocked!

Looking as far back as last week's issue of Science, here's a quick lunchtime global warming read. Note that I couldn't find an article in opposition to anthropogenic global warming, despite the 54344240.1 bankers and high school teachers who signed the Oregon Petition and the infallible logic on their side of the argument. Clearly, the process of science has a liberal bias.

I guess climate knowledge has remained stable for the last 35 years? And dont tell me to wait another 35 years for another predicted ice age. Science learns & moves forward.
