Will the real mack daddy please stand up...... please stand up?
sorry, it just popped into my head and i had to write it down. thank you for being there when i needed all of you to waste your lives reading my ignorant scrawlin's
I just don't see how massive inflation is going to be avoided.
You are right. They think, or at least have convinced themselves, that they can pull money back out of the system by selling their assets. But most of the assets they have purchased are worthless or worth little, usually referred to as "toxic waste", and few if anyone will buy them.
The author is right, this is not Obama's recession at this point - both in perception and reality - but his remedies are crippling or even destroying the free enterprise system and free markets. The admin is picking and choosing the winners and losers, in some cases at the expense of contracts which has been the foundation of economic stability from the beginning; and it appears that their primary consideration is political. Only the deluded or insiders or naive or desperate would enter the economy or markets at this time and for the foreseeable future. There can hardly be any recovery of substance or duration and at some point the public will blame this admin no matter how the media tries to paint it - and it will be guilty.
The Rasmussen poll conducted over the weekend of May 30-31 asked a key question designed to give us perspective on Obama’s current popularity. The question was whether the current problems “are due to the recession that began under the Bush administration or to the policies Obama has put in place since taking office.” In other words, who’s to blame, Bush or Obama?
By 62-27, voters say Bush is still the culprit.
After only 100 days the only shocking thing is that 27% think BO could have caused this mess.

Eventually, even though he didn't get us here, he's going to have to own this mess.
People dump on Jimmy Carter, but he didn't exactly inherit a whiz-bang economy. I still have my Ford "Whip Inflation Now" button that my Dad gave me. We were just coming out of an LBJ/Nixon-infused war in Vietnam/war-on-poverty effort that pretty much bankrupted the country.

But just like we call our republicans, democrat lite - O is taking the Bush policies of last fall, doubling and tripling their magnitude, and sending them into warp speed. I think that 27% is voting that O has made the problem worse.

No, it's not really shocking when you consider the average American gets his/her news in 30 second sound bytes from a left slanted media. Also that those same average Americans who are busy living their lives and raising families don't have time to sit and research everything properly from multiple sources.
