Re: Heavy things to ponder

I've eaten at the Greenbriar, and it was not "all that." If I never go back it will be fine by me. I've never eaten at the Top Hat, so I can't comment.

You are right on the origin of barbecue sauce. If you are a beer drinker, and you are concerned about doing things as they originated, I am sure that you only drink Dogfish Head Honey Mead (IIRC), which is based on the first known beer recipe, and that you drink it at room temperature, since there was no refrigeration back then.

Live and let live, my friend. Especially when talking about the really important things like religion, politics, and barbecue.

The Shed BBQ here in Ocean Springs, MS, is quite the treat.

Is this the same place that Guy Fieri visited on his show on the food network??

Re: Heavy things to ponder

Most people cannot drive safely & talk on the cell phone. I can't tell you how many people I see run through stop signs or red lights, and they'll have a cell phone in their ear. Another irritating thing is sitting behind someone at stoplight, light turns green, they're sitting up in front chatting on the cell not paying attention. This irks me to no end.

My mom can teach classes on how to do that while driving safely.

I am in complete agreement with both of you. If Heinz was the ONLY ketchup in town, I would no longer use ketchup.
