I know he is senile but we have got to shut this guy up.

The United States knew about an abortive coup against Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez in 2002, and may even have taken part, former US president Jimmy Carter has told a Colombian newspaper.
Doesn't Jimmy realize the rest of the world does not need to know this? Is he for us or against us? Like I heard Rick say on Rick and Bubba the other day, "someone needs to tell Paw-Paw to get back on the porch."

Reason: spelling
...and a coup against Chavez would be a bad thing?
Based on the CIA's track record of either outright failing or creating tremendous amounts of anti-Americanism/blowback pretty much every single time it tries to interfere in foreign elections, I'd say "yeah, probably." (You know, if you choose to ignore the whole question of what gives us the right in the first place.)

It's almost becoming hard to criticize the man as it's becoming ever more evident his mental faculities are deterioating at a fast pace. It would seem that if Jimmy Carter is ever trusted with classified information at his age the fault would be the individual who divulged that information, not Carter's for letting that information be known. I honestly do not think the man can help himself anymore.

That's just it. He knows it isn't. He's a pinko commie and hates America.
I don't think he's a commie and I don't think he hates America. His view is warped by bitterness and resentment.
He's had an axe to grind with the United States since 1980 when he was sent back to Plains after four years of failed foreign policy and a failed domestic agenda. He obviously had no clue about economics. Maybe less than the boob we have in there now.

I agree with you on Carter but "the boob" we have in there now knows much less than Carter.

Yes, Jimmah Carter needs to back on the porch. I guess Obama will now go to South America on an apology tour on the "evils" of the United States
If he's going to talk specifically about our past conduct in Latin America, then that would be a long, long tour.

How can he possibly think that releasing this information is a good thing for America?
I know, now people all over the world might think that the CIA routinely violates the sovereignty of other countries to spy, assasinate people and rig elections in order to promote American interests. I'm sure they'll all spit out their coffees in suprise.

Seriously? This is all you have? It is okay for him to release state secrets because the world doesn't like or trust us, already?
I thought that the left wanted better international relations. This isn't helping...
