The biggest question I have is why did he not just shoot himself and let it go at that? Why did he have to go on a rampage and kill others, making his own death inevitable? Of course, that's what I ask about most people who decide to kill other innocents before taking their own lives. Such a waste.....
I agree Reb. Why didn't he just end his miserable existance instead of making others lives miserable? His profession was to help people feeling this way, not to make people feel that way. In my opinion he was a !

Why did he take others out? Wonder why...

Re: There's been a shooting on Fort Hood

Well, apparently the killer is still alive. He was shot multiple times and is in stable condition in the hospital.

Good. If he lives, the federal government will have the privilege of killing him after his sentencing.

I'm ashamed to say, he graduated from my same medical school and did his residency training in my same program.

And yet, somehow, I never killed anyone.

Because he's been indoctrinated by his religion to hate America and want to kill infidels?

The people that keep saying Islam is a peaceful religion clearly haven't read much of the Koran.
I really don't think a lot of people really appreciate the depth of anti-western teaching that Islam perpetuates. They basically say to be contrary to what ever non-believers are doing, this goes all the way down to dying your hair. It can easily provide the spark to these madmen, be it Osama or the Washington sniper. There's plenty of hate right there for them to embrace and use to justify their actions. This guy is no exception, he gets disgruntled, says Muslims have no business fighting other Muslims (as is typical identifying more with terrorists overseas or the like than his fellow Americans) and then you have this. As his coworker said, it came as no suprise.

Re: There's been a shooting on Fort Hood

I just wanted to say my thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims.

Having worked on Ft. Hood for 5yrs. as a FSR for BAE Systems I have worked hand and hand with the soldiers and defense contractors there. I talked to alot of my old personnel out there and they have just been released from the motorpools. They had been on lockdown since after 1. Everyone there was okay.

I certainly hope the wounded survive. And the s.o.b. responsible pays for what he has done.

Re: There's been a shooting on Fort Hood

I'm wondering how long it will be before our lovely administration comes out and tries to convince the sheeple that Islam is a peaceful religion and this should not be interpreted that this is what Islam teaches and we will continue to support our Islam friends? Cuz you now it's comin'.
