see former Birmingham native Kent Haines do stand up on Comedy Central Friday 10pm

Friday night, Kent Haines will be doing stand up on the Comedy Central show Live at Gotham! at 10pm Central/11 Eastern. He is the first guy who I personally know to be on Comedy Central. He lives in Philly now, but he grew up in Birmingham. He is so funny...he won a funniest comedian in Philadelphia contest. Check him out, and set your DVR if you aren't going to be home. Maybe some of you know him too...

So how's his act? I enjoy a good stand-up routine, but I get turned off in a hurry by those comedians who think the only way they can be funny is to lace their act with so much profanity that it's not fit for decent folk's ears...

He does curse some, but it definitely is not every other word. He talks about mature subjects like sex a lot, but does have a lot of PG stuff in there too. For example, he has a great bit about sports announcers here versus the ones in England.
