Update on BamaMom/2

Some of the old-timers will remember "BamaMom/2" who proudly has two daughters (both Bama grads). Mom used to be a regular around here in the early years. She still lives in the Montgomery area, and was diagnosed a couple of months ago with kidney cancer - one of the most incurable forms of cancer.

I've been exchanging e-mails with her (she's still working) and she's been in chemo for two weeks now and says she gets tired, but she's feeling much better (today, at least) than she's heard she would. The difficult news is that the doctors have given her 12-18 months, even with a couple of drugs that's believe to slow its growth. In addition to one drug she is taking now, they may prescribe her two others, depending on the success of the one she's currently on.

At any rate, this is a brief update on where she is and where she's headed. She asked all her friends on TF to keep her on their prayer list.
