Another good report

Quick update on Houston/MDA trip #10 (all since mid-May...we're tired!

)
Monday was all-day scans, tests, & bloodwork. CT scans of everywhere...P.E.T. scan...bloodwork...chest xray.
Tuesday was the latest most-important-Dr.-appt.-ever.

Bottom line: Still good news!! God is good!

Details: there's a thick spot in my pleural area (outside the lung) that has always been there according to the scans. However, it showed a bit of activity on the P.E.T. scan Monday. Dr. said not to worry; we'll just watch it. Could be nothing, could be an infection, or could be (the bad C-word). More scans in 2 months to follow up. He said if this were my 1st P.E.T. scan, there'd be nothing to worry about at all, and that he would do nothing. However, this ain't my first P.E.T. scan...*sigh* And once the c-word gets tattooed on one's forehead (or on the medical chart...), and once the particular flavor of c-word is metastatic melanoma, the concern-o-meters in the medical world become VERY finely tuned, going off @ the slightest hint of anything.

So, again, still good news here. This is going to be a great Thanksgiving @ Casa exiled!

Thanks so much, my crimson e-friends, for lifting me up in prayers this year. I told my daughter (who went out there with us), "you really don't want to walk into these rooms as patients..." Thanks for making it slightly less-heinous via your intercession on our behalf!

p.s. - did you know that there are 3 delivery mechanisms for CT contrast solution? One is drinking it, and another is via IV. It's that 3rd one that really capped off a fun-filled day Monday afternoon...
