Where is Alan Ponder?

I remember that he got injured during the Florida series, but didn't think it was too serious. Is he still injured?

Allen was sent to Dr. Andrew's several weeks ago and he said not to pick up a ball for 3 weeks - he examined him again, and he, Coach Wells and Ginger decided to let his arm rest throughout the summer-he can't pick up a ball until the end of July, and he's doing therapy all summer. And he'll get a fresh, hopefully healthy start next fall. But he was at the Met for all the games and will be supporting the guys on the way to Omaha!

It's good to hear that after receiving some truly expert opinions, Allen is well on his way to recovery and hopefully a summer of rest and therapy will have him primed and ready to go for next season. He will certainly be a major contributor on the staff in the future, and I could definitely see him as either a starter or perhaps the heir apparent to Brian Reed in the closer role.
