Blue Chippers, and Qualifying?

Have a question for the masses. Doesn't it see like the four-five star athlete's we recruit have a hard time getting into school? Is it their ego, and they don't study or what. Maybe this isn't true, but our last few classes seem to be thin of blue chippers, and the ones we do recruit, can't seem to get in school. RTR.
 
IMO, the instability of the coaching carousel at Alabama has REALLY hurt Bama's chances at quite a few of the better players. It's not an unreasonable desire for an 18 yr old to believe that the coaches that recruited him will still be there 3-4 years down the road.

Furthermore, some of these players aren't the sharpest tools in the shed to begin with. Others have been coddled for so long by so many people, they're just not prepared academically for college. The sad thing is, these same folks that have coddled these players have done them no favors and done NOTHING to prepare them for life and life after high school.
