Many BAMA fans think of the "recruiting wars" as the period we are in now and leading up to signing day. However, Coach Shula and staff were behind the "8 ball" on recruiting due to the late arrival in T-Town.

Recruiting starts with Coaches and players clinics. Most understand it's by invitation these players are at a summer camp...it's not YMCA camp Cheerio.

We were shown early that Coach Shula has what it takes. With very short notice, Coach Shula put together a very organized, quality, and educational camp this past summer. Coaches and players gave glowing remarks and the camps are just now paying dividends. Given time to prepare he will do even better!

It is through these camps that you build an expanded recruiting base. In time, our Texas and Florida staff connections will begin to send kids our way!

In closing recruiting is not a light switch that is turned on and off. It's mores like seeds which are planted and to get to harvest day the Head Coach and staff must tend to crop each and every year...Something that has been lacking!
