Well, I guess we are going to have to regroup and try again next year, because this team has been destroyed by the only 3 decent teams that they have played this season. Perfect example of talent not being enough. The players look like they have someplace that they would rather be. Best offensive and defensive lines in the NFL.
I still love my Giants, but this is hard to watch...
Yeah, I know, but they are not showing any passion on or off the field. When they walked off the field today, they were all smiling and laughing. After getting smoked 40-17 .
They were not like that after losses the last few years - certainly not in 2007 (when they won the SB)...
Gutless play calling in the 4th quarter costs the Giants the game today. A lost season, and I have rarely been more disgusted with any team that I have supported. I guess that I will have my Sunday afternoons free for the next few months...
Man, I have been stunned by the giants play in recent weeks. As I fan of the nfl and having several giants in a couple of fantasy leagues, I have been following the Giants this season with a bit of interest. I am curious as to what you think NY of their problem. The offense, which seemed so strong, has become very streaky.

Too many injuries on their defense. They have lost Boley or Canty or both, along with Ross and Phillips. Any would be a problem, but all 4 were out for 3 of their 4 losses.
They decided to become a pass first offense this year. Something that is beyond stupid given their o-line and running backs. Today they went back to their 2008 base offense, but made mistakes (penalties and the botched FG try) in key spots. But their conservative play calling in the Red Zone all season reminds me of the Shula days at Bama.
I have been saying this for 3 years, but Gilbride has to go. He is the worst offensive coordinator in the NFL...

I have really wondered about this. I know they lost Ward, but Jacobs and Bradshaw are both solid backs, yet it seems they only average about 20 carries between them. I like to think of myself as old school, so why not just hand the ball of a good 35, 40 times a game with those two?
I heard an interesting stat about these two teams today. The road team has won the past 12 meetings. This doesn't really have anything to do with this years game since the stat dates back to 1979, but I was surprised by it. When you consider that the Giants play in an often cold and windy stadium and Atlanta has been a dome team during much of that time period it seems like there would have been more of a homefield advantage in these matchups.
