Description:
Anyone else have any good steak rubs they'd like to share? This is one I found and it's as close to Outbacks as I've ever tasted . . .

You can go easy on the cayenne pepper if you want, but it def. adds a little extra kick to it.

And about half my friends have used a little less salt, depending on how salty you like things. Def. don't use less than 3, but in my experimentations 5 is pretty good. . .
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
5 minutes
Difficulty:
1
Serving Size:
As much as you want to put on!
  1. 5 teaspoons salt
  2. 4 teaspoons paprika
  3. 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  4. 1 teaspoon onion powder
  5. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  6. 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  7. 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  8. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
Preparation:
  1. Mix all ingredients together in a small tupperware container.
Instructions:
  1. After you've mixed the ingredients, rub generously into both sides of your steak.

Re: Steak Rubs

What gives? I am not seeing a recipe. Just to rub on both sides after mixing.

Very rare steak eaten at room temp.

Did you ever try it? I'd like to know how it fared for any of you out there who may have given it a shot. . .

It's been a few days since I ate that steak and I didn't get sick or nothing. I would call it a good rub.
