Description:
Hot biscuits covered in chocolate sauce. Definitely a good treat for the kids. Mom used to make this one Sunday morning out of the month. Always my favorite breakfast
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
20 minutes
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
N/A
  1. Biscuits (either homemade or frozen)
  2. 3Tbsp butter
  3. 3Tbsp cocoa powder
  4. 1/4-1/2 cup milk - depends on desired consistency
  5. 1/4-1/2 cup sugar - depends on desired sweetness
Instructions:
  1. Cook biscuits per directions (either homemade or frozen).
  2. I use the Frozen Pillsbury grands. Takes ~19 minutes.

  3. For sauce:
  4. Add butter to medium pot, on low-med heat until butter melts.
  5. Add cocoa powder. Mix with butter until incorporated.
  6. Add milk, in small increments and blend.
  7. Add sugar and stir until dissolved (may have to add a little more milk to thin sauce).

  8. Sauce will need to be stirred frequently.

  9. Takes about 5-10 minutes.

  10. Looking for a runny consistency, but not watery.

Re: Biscuits and Chocolate Sauce

Love this stuff -the biscuit must be full of butter before covering them with chocolate. You must have been raised in the city in the country we called it chocolate gravy.

Re: Biscuits and Chocolate Sauce

hahaha, actually I call it chocolate gravy too, but everyone I've ever described it too, went "ewwwww chocolate gravy???". So I figured I would list it as chocolate sauce.
