Green Bean Bundle

Description:
Remember this needs to marinate overnight. It is yummy!
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
Marinate overnight
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
N/A
  1. 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  2. 1/2 cup butter
  3. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  4. 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  5. 3 (14.5 ounce) cans whole green beans
  6. 1 lb sliced peppered bacon
Instructions:
  1. In a small saucepan, combine first four ingredients over medium-high heat.
  2. When butter has melted, remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Bundle 6 to 7 beans together, wrapping with 1 strip of bacon.
  4. Secure bacon with toothpick.
  5. Place on a baking sheet.
  6. Spoon butter mixture over each bundle.
  7. Cover baking sheet and allow to marinate overnight.

  8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  9. Uncover green bean bundles and cook for 40 minutes.

Yes, I use Del Monte Whole Green Beans. Someone I know tried using fresh and she didn't cook them enough and they were still crunchy and it wasn't as good. Not sure what you were asking though

Ive never seen them either... Ive made something similar with fresh green beans though. You have to blanch them first..
And they only need to cook in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes.. 40 minutes seems like an awful long time.

Yeah you can almost roast a chicken in 40 minutes

The bacon should be crisp in 15 minutes, burnt to cinders in 40. Maybe not, still sounds good.
