Description:
This is not the official restaurant recipe, but a close approximation from years of study (oh, the things I do for you).

I've tried every kind of recipe, including one that required me to COOK the mixer. This is easily the best I've tried.
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
1 min
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
16 oz drink
  1. Handsome shot of Sauza
  2. Juice of 1 lime
  3. Squirt of Agave Nectar
  4. 1/2 cup Dole orange/pineapple
  5. Splash of grapefruit juice
  6. Optional splash of Grand Marnier
Instructions:
  1. Take a walmart-style 16oz glass tumbler. In goes a stiff finger of Sauza or other 100% agave tequila (not Cuervo Gold). Squirt in some agave sweetener/nectar - get this from your local health food store. Squeeze in the juice of one lime, add a little extra if the lime is on the dry side. Stir until the nectar dissolves.
  2. Fill the tumbler with ice. Half-fill the remaining space with orange/pineapple juice, and add a splash of grapefruit juice, leaving an empty finger at the top so you don't spill it when you start swaying. Voila.
  3. You can add Grand Marnier, but watch the sweetness. Cheaper stuff like Triple Sec does not improve this recipe - it is too sweet.
  4. There is definitely some grapefruit juice and pineapple juice in the Pepito's margarita. Every once in a while they overmix it and you can taste it clear as day. The grapefruit especially is very strong, go easy on it, else it overpowers the other flavors.
  5. As always, personalize your margarita. I started life as a hardcore Cuervo Gold/Cuervo Mix guy, and gradually upgraded to my current blissful state. Enjoy!
