Description:
I was at a church dinner a week ago and this was one of the side dishes. It was so good I could have eaten an entire plate of it, nevermind the pork chops, green beans, rice or chocolate chess pie! I was told it was a Paula Dean recipe. It's out of this world, you gotta try it.
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
1 Hour
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
8
  1. 1 (14 3/4-ounce) can cream-style corn.

  2. 1 (15 1/4-ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained.

  3. 1 eight-ounce package corn muffin mix.

  4. 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar.

  5. 1 cup sour cream.

  6. 1/2 cup butter, melted.
Preparation:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Instructions:
  1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except for the cheese.

  2. Pour into 9x13 inche casserole dish.

  3. Bake for 45 minutes.

  4. Remove from oven, and cover with cheese.

  5. Return to oven until cheese is melted.

  6. Remove from oven.

  7. Serve warm.

Re: Corn Casserole

Good stuff.

A slight variation is to use a little less butter, fry up 2-3 slices bacon crisp, crumble it up into the mixture along with about half of the bacon grease before baking.......

Re: Corn Casserole

That is one of my favorites too. But then again, I like just about anything Paula Deen.

Re: Corn Casserole

for a kick, you can also add a finely diced fresh jalapeno.
