Description:
Made these today for our side dish with grilled fish and potato pancakes. Quick and easy with lots of flavor.
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
10 min
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
4 unless you relly like beans
  1. 1 lb fresh green beans
  2. 1/4 cup water
  3. 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  4. 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  5. 2 tbsp sugar
  6. 1 tsp red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  7. 2 tbsp sesame oil
  8. 1 tsp minced garlic
  9. 1 tsp minced ginger
Preparation:
  1. Clean, wash and dry beans, discard any bad ones.
  2. **You can substitute honey for the sugar, add more garlic, lemon juice, a little chopped scallion or onion or some sliced mushrooms. This dish is a blank canvas you can build on but it's very good as it stands.**
Instructions:
  1. Use a wok or large skillet with lid. Bring water to boil then add beans, cover and cook 3-4 minutes.
  2. While beans are cooking mix soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sugar and red pepper flakes together. Set aside. Chop garlic and ginger. Set aside.
  3. Drain all water (if there is any) from pan of beans and add the Sesame oil, garlic and ginger. Stir-fry 2 minutes or till beans begin to get some color.
  4. Add sauce and continue to stir-fry another 2 minutes then serve.
