Description:
This is a potato appetizer/side dish/main course that I made when I was craving the Ooey Gooey fries from Bob Baumhower's Wings, hence the name.
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
30-45 Minutes
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
Serves 4 usually
  1. 4-5 Medium Potatoes
  2. Cheese of your Choice
  3. 5-6 Strips of Bacon
  4. Ranch Dressing
  5. 2 Garlic Cloves
  6. Salt and Pepper
Preparation:
  1. Dice potatoes and dice bacon
Instructions:
  1. Boil potatoes in salted water with 2 whole cloves of garlic for about 8 minutes.

  2. Meanwhile, render bacon in a good size skillet .

  3. Drain potatoes and run cool water over them to stop the cooking process.

  4. Remove bacon from skillet and set aside.

  5. Add potatoes to skillet with bacon grease still in it and brown them to the crispiness of your liking, salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Put potatoes in a casserole dish and toss with Ranch Dressing, I use about 3/4 cup but use as much as you like. Side note: Bottled Ranch sucks. I always make mine or get it from Halsey. Halsey has a Cash and Carry store in downtown Huntsville where you can buy their Ranch Dressing, It's the awesome kind that you find at public school's and most restaurants like Ryan's.

  7. Sprinkle bacon on top and then smother in cheese (I used cheddar because that's what I had on hand) bake at 400°F until cheese is melted. (I like to brown mine)

Smile Re: #91 Knockoff Taters

Sounds like a heart attack but probably tastes great.
