Wide receiver prospects? Someone please tell me

Share

that we are looking at some more receivers. Once Pro went down, we got production out of DJ and well, that's about it. I didn't realize how thin we really are at WR. I know Stover comes in. I'm not counting on Pro being very productive (not a knock at him, just at the severity of his injury). I have some concerns here.

OL, we all know those problems.....

Check on the recruiting board. All the info that you want to know about recruiting. Look at who we got commitments from this week.

We already got Mike McCoy to commit and we're recruiting:

Tim Hawthorne, Earl Alexander, Jared White, Anthony Jones, and Anthony Summers.

That's just the ones I read off of BamaMag. Zeke Knight, Keith Brown, and company will be back...not to mention all of our young TE's. How in the crap can you have a "pro-style" offense and not throw to your TE's? I sure hope we start...

UAEngineer,
it will come with getting better protection from our O-line. As it stands, they are having to stay in and block too much to allow them to go out on passing routes.

Don't forget Nikita Stover. We won't sign a better WR recruit this year than Stover. I believe he will join the team next week for practice.

I'm not, Bamanut mentioned him. I have a buddy here that went to highschool with Nikita. He describes him with one word: "Electrifying"

I can describe him with a simpler, but a much better word that all of us will appreciate after this year......."hands"

I'm actually hoping the Tyrone Prothro comes back next season.

He would need to be a pretty special athlete to come back... wait a minute,

he IS a pretty special athlete.

Don't give up on TP.

I'm not "counting" on Pro just in case he doesn't produce like we've seen...and who could blame him if he didn't? Anyway, I've seen enought skillet hands for one season, andI want to see some depth at receiver!

Also, I'm seeing two commits for this class, one being Stover. I see a few Jrs. with interest. I know I'm being a little negative, but I thought we were pretty secure at receiver this year, and we apparently weren't. A lot of dropped balls, and admittedly, a lot of bad passes.....but still, I would love to see us shore up that position.

Great positive attitude. I sure hope the guys on the team don't read this board.

Then, count on him......I think he'd want you to! Just the thought of Tyrone, and Nikita being on the field at the same time, gives me goosebumps!
