-- 1. Joe McKnight, ATH, 5-11, 180, River Ridge (John Curtis), La. Very versatile player who could do any number of things at next level. ... Compared favorably to New Orleans Saints rookie running back Reggie Bush. Rushed for 711 yards and 14 touchdowns, caught 23 passes for 739 yards and 13 touchdowns and returned 12 punts for 268 yards and three touchdowns as a senior for Louisiana prep power. Schools of interest: LSU and Southern California lead Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Florida State and Miami.

Re: Press-Register Super Southeast 120 Capsules

Looking at that list, we didn't seem to have that many players compared to Auburn, FL, LSU, even Ole Miss. I know we're on the edge in the running for McKnight, but it seems like our class isn't spectacular this year. Are we expecting several big commitments to help us out?

ThumbsUp Re: Press-Register Super Southeast 120 Capsules

Here is a breakdown:

Auburn and Florida lead the way with 11 commitments from the Press-Register's elite list, closely followed by LSU (10). Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina have seven commitments each from the list, while Ole Miss has six, Tennessee, Notre Dame and Georgia Tech have five each, and Clemson, Mississippi State and Arkansas three each. Florida State and Miami have two commitments each from the SSE 120, while Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Southern Cal and Virginia have one each on the list.

Yeah we aren't dominating the list but we're not that far off either.

Any list by Neal McCready should be given very little credibility. He is an ole miss homer who writes for a rag with a barner slant. I just don't see how anyone can take this list seriously when he has Chris Strong at #5 and Carlos Dunlap (a top 100 player in the nation) at #114.

Also hard to say a list is credible when it says the #2 prospect Davis is committed to Florida State. He is NOT committed to Florida St, he's headed to UF.
