Before the football season WCTV, the CBS station in Tallahassee, named Melvin Ray to their Super Six team which is the top six players in the Tallahassee area.

I've had the opportunity to talk to Melvin when he was in t-town... he's a really down to earth guy. Really very nice guy. He told me that Saban aksed him to come in the spring, and said that he would probably enroll early to get some time in the system. I haven't seen that anywhere online, but that came straight from him, face-to-face. I'm really excited about him. He's gonna be a very good reciever for us.

Hmmm, that is very interesting hearsay. I had read that he took summer classes to keep his grades up. I sure hope that is the case.
